I was told when I was a kid that, the older you get, the less sleep you need. That “older people” only need 4-5 hours of sleep per night. Being a child, I didn’t really understand how truly important sleep is for your health, body, and well being.
I was probably pretty sleep deprived for most of my 30’s. Unhealthy, poor diet, not too much exercise. Living on coffee during the day and trying to make it through the night with two young children. I probably didn’t get GOOD sleep for about 10 years. You don’t realize how much you take sleep for granted until you have children!
Now in my 40’s, my youngest is 5 years old and for the most part, sleeps through the night. I find myself in a constant state of hyper-awareness and most nights are fitful and sleep is constantly interrupted. As most parents know, you’re never really sleeping soundly. There is always that one ear open to the sounds of your children possibly calling for you in the middle of the night.
When I was introduced to the Modus product line, I remember looking at the Power Off and thinking “oh man, I have GOT to try this!”
I read about it, looked at the ingredients and decided to give it a go.
Our nightly routine for getting the kids to bed usually starts around 7:30 p.m. and they are all washed up, tucked in and read to by 8:00-8:30 p.m. I am usually settled in bed by 9:00 p.m., either reading a book or watching something on my iPad. After taking one Power OFF capsule, I remember the first feeling I felt was relaxed, and calm. I not a calm person by any means, so this was a welcome change. I always have lists and conversations racing through my mind and I always have a hard time “drifting into peaceful sleep.” But that’s exactly what Power OFF does for me. It allows me to drift off into sleep, without tossing and turning. It does what it it’s named for, it “powers me off” for the night and tells my brain to relax.
Power OFF is exactly what I’ve needed. I am a full-time working mom, wife, and mother of two very active boys. When I get home, I still have “work” to do. Whether it’s cleaning up from the morning, making dinner, spending time just being with my boys, or any other multitude of things I do every night.
We, as parents - and especially mothers, are always thinking, feeling, acting, reacting, and constantly running the lists of things to do through our minds - need to Power OFF at night! Sometimes it’s hard to do, so on those nights I do rely on Modus’s product to help ease my overactive mind to sleep!
